“Ms. Dina Bonnevie, Ayaw Patawag Ng Lola!”

Ms. D was very enthusiastic over lunch as she continued to share with us her personal anecdotes on Danica.

During the honeymoon of the newly-weds, on the second day, Danica called up Ms. D to tell her that she missed her and she wanted Ms. D to join them in Boracay! Marc complained with Ms. D that even during their honeymoon, Danica still has her mom in her mind, not him!

After the honeymoon of Marc and Danica, Bossing Vic would invite Danica to visit him in his house as he normally did when she was still single but Marc is not invited to join Danica. Until, one day, Bossing Vic joined Danica in watching Marc in a PBA basketball game in Araneta Coliseum. He was cheering Marc in that game which Marc’s team – Purefoods eventually won. After that game, Bossing Vic was already in good terms with Marc.

At present she is five months pregnant, Danica is being teased by Ms. D that she will become fat after giving birth and that Ms. D will be more sexy and younger looking than her. To which Danica replied that as soon as she gives birth, she will follow a very rigid program to be back to her old sexy figure! Ms. D told her that she has to breastfeed her baby yet before doing any slimming program.

Now came the nagging question that all of us around her asked Ms. D in chorus: “payag ka ba tatawaging lola ng apo mo?”

Ms. D who I am sure will always be remembered as the sweet young girl who recorded the song “Bakit Ba Ganyan?” in the early ‘80’s vehemently said a big “No!” Ms. D does not want to be addressed as Lola! So, how would she want to be addressed by her grandchild? Always aware of her timing, Ms. D answered while all of us were all ear to what she would say, “Mommy D, that’s how my grand child should call me!”

Well, probably, Ms. D will be the sexiest grandmother in showbiz in four months time. She is too young to be a grandmother!

How quick time flies. I told Ms. D that when she gave birth to Danica, I knew of three friends who gave birth at about the same time and they named their daughters what else – Danica! Danica is about the same age as my eldest daughter though at this point I am not yet about to be a lolo, but I am sure it is just a matter of time that I will soon become one!   This makes it interesting because I play the role of Ms. D’s father in “Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita”. You would be surprise how Ms. D had managed to look a least 20 years younger her age!

Please watch us on the first day of airing of “Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita” on March 24, 2008, GMA Channel 7.
