While doing “LOBO”, I had experienced several “firsts”. I was being made to sleep in a coffin, being made to “act” in a heavy drama scene opposite Pilar Pilapil, being made to act opposite a german Sheppard.
For my last taping day for this Project, I had another experience: I met Angel Locsin again, the first time after we did “Hwag Kukurap” in 2004. She was just starting then. I played the role of a Building Administrator while Angel played herself narrating her experience with a ghost in the condominium unit that she stayed before. That time, Angel had just started doing “Mulawin” playing the role of Alwina. GMA 7 just started “building her up” to become a star. During the taping for “Hwag Kukurap”, I had even requested Angel to record her voice in my cell phone which I had been using as my ring tone.
After that taping for “Hwag Kukurap”, Angel had starred in several tv soap operas and had transformed into a big star. In fact she had become one of the most popular stars today.
My last taping for “LOBO” was scheduled at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 09. I left my Bulacan home at 1:00 a.m. and was at the parking lot of a new building in Juan Luna St. Binondo. I brought my costumes from the car to the 27th floor of the 35 floor building. When the elevator opened up, I met Shane – the in-charge for costume who was still doing something. When I wandered my eyes to the left side of the hallway, lo and behold, a smiling Angel greeted me – Oh, Angel!
I approached her and I made “beso,beso” with her. We exchanged quick “kumustahan”. In my excitement to greet and talk to Angel, the first time after she is already THE ANGEL LOCSIN, I did not realize that she was seated beside Piolo Pascual.
Piolo had one more scene with Angel and after the take, he left. Angel had three more scenes after which my scenes were taped.
While waiting for my take, Dags, a Production Staff, led me to the 30th floor which was the designated waiting area. There, I had a talk with the staff of Angel whom I had met before. Angel has now two girl Fridays, one make up artist and a driver. The girl Fridays asked me to help them with their SSS contributions. When Angel joined us after her take, I offered Angel to help her staff in their contributions. Angel told her staff to get in touch with me. Knowing that they are very busy, I suggested that I could assist them with their SSS payments.
My last taping day was indeed a big one having met again Angel Locsin since 2004, in her radiance, in her shining self but still the old Angel, down to earth and unaffected by her current status!
