The production staff gave me a copy of the script and the sequence breakdown for the day’s taping which showed that we had a schedule of 40 sequences, all of which will be taped in the hospital. I counted that I will have 11 sequences! Wow! Trying to recall my past exposures for ABS-CBN shows, my appearance in this show is comparable to my exposure in Maria Flordeluna. Although in the case of Flordeluna, it was aired daily. In this show, the airing will be every Sunday for the five Sundays of the month of June. It airs after ASAP about 2:00 p.m.
This episode of Your Song is titled “Random Hearts”. While memorizing my lines, I scanned the entire script. The story evolves around the lives of two married couples (Zanjoe-Wendy and TJ-Angelica) and their infidelities and karma. When the couple involved in an elicit love affair (TJ-Wendy) met a vehicular accident, they were brought to the hospital where I worked as a doctor.
The couple went into coma. I am the attending doctor. In the process, I would be interacting with the spouses. As the attending doctor, I put into use my experiences in previous appearances as such. I had Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defib scene on TJ Trinidad.
Most of the time, while waiting for my take, I just stayed inside the hospital room memorizing my lines. It was raining hard almost the whole day which grounded me in my stand by area. I was not able to walk around the hospital compound After I mastering my lines, I had some small talk with Jairus. He is now 8 years old and has grown tall since the last time I worked with him in Ysabella. After his take, Jairus kept himslef busy playing computer games in his PSP.
My first scene was taken about 11.30 a.m. It was a scene in the Emergency Room. I was doing a CPR on TJ Trinidad. Abel who was the Assistant Director of Direk Trina Dayrit when we did “Basta’t Kasama Kita” was also the Assistant Director for this episode of Your Song. Abel and Direk Trina worked harmoniously as both of them are cool! Working with them, I have not heard shouts or have seen people on the set with bad temperament! Every one is relaxed.
When lunch break was declared, I left the Emergency Room together with my co-bit players. We walked along the hallway and as we reached the portion where another hallway would lead to the Dining Area for the lead actors and the production staff, my co-bit players turned left and said, “sigue Sir, dito kami”, pointing to the parking lot where the vehicle of the caterer is parked. I looked at them as they formed a line to wait for their turn to receive their tray of food. With the tray of food, they looked for a space where they can eat. Some ate while in a standing position, some are squatting while others placed their trays on top of the hood of the vehicles.
