“Edgar Sandalo and Ara Mina Rape Scene on You Tube”

After I posted my article in several yahoogroups in the internet seeking for technical assistance on how to post my rape scene with Ara Mina (which is on VHS version) on the You Tube, I received numerous response giving technical advises on how to do it.

The technical advises were varied: one told me that I have to buy a special gadget to be connected from the VHS to my computer that would convert the images in VHS to digital images in the computer. One told me straight to go to a professional shop and pay not less than 1,000.00 for the services. Still another told me to just download from the internet  a PC Suite for Motorola (my cell phone) to make my laptop capable to convert the  images to digital either VCD or DVD from the cellphone. The VCD and DVD versions can then be  uploaded into the YOU TUBE.

 With all the technical advises this was what I did: I played the VHS player and as the rape scene appeared on the TV set, I recorded it on my Motorola cellular phone. The scene lasted for 1 minute and 27 seconds. As it is, the scene recorded on the cellular phone is not really a clear copy, but it is not a bad copy either. “Pwede na”, I told myself. Now with the scene on my cellular phone, a fraternity brother, Reggie Montana offered to post it on the YOU TUBE. I had the scene transferred to his cell phone through BLUETOOTH.

Reggie who owns a computer shop in UPLB knows how to upload it on the YOU TUBE. After a few hours that I transferred it to his cell phone, he texted me that it had already been uploaded in the YOU TUBE. 

 He e-mailed me the link to the YOU TUBE. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUSAmRWihgQ . One has to simply click and will be directed to the YOUTUBE site in the internet and will be able to watch the rape scene.

It was only posted last Tuesday at about 3:00 am . After one day, it was visited 251 times already. Last night, the second day, the visitors to the site doubled at 550 visits!

 If you have access to the internet, simply follow the link mentioned above This is now the opportunity for those who failed to watch it when it was aired on ABS-CBN Channel 2’s “Ligaw ng Bulaklak” last August 27.

It was those text messages and e-mails that I received requesting that the scene be posted on YOU TUBE because they failed to watch it that moved me to request for assistance. But before I finally cleared Reggie to upload it in the YOU TUBE, I made sure that I got clearance from both ARA MINA and our director RECHIE DEL CARMEN to post it.
