“Bossing, grabe ka!”, was what a former officemate at the Department of Agriculture texted me after watching the rape scene I had with Ms. Ara Mina last Tuesday in the afternoon soap opera “Ligaw na Bulaklak”. However, the best compliment I got was from my wife. I programmed my old but reliable Philips VHS video recorder to record the entire Tuesday episode on ABS-CBN Channel 2. I set the timer from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. because of the unpredictability of the ending of “Wowowee”. You see last Monday, the Wowowee had an overtime and ended at 3:20 p.m. Last Tuesday, when my rape scene was aired, “Ligaw na Bulaklak” came in at 3:10 p.m. It was recorded in my VHS. When we arrived home, my wife and I watched it and she said, “Ang ganda naman, malinis at hindi bastos!”
One of my co-members in a yahoogroup however said that he was not able to watch it because he was at the office when it was aired. He added that he wished that it could be uploaded in the U-Tube.
I could not immediately answer him. Good enough, I had another call slip for “Ligaw na Bulaklak” last Wednesday. I congratulated Direk Rechie del Carmen and relayed to her my wife’s comments on the rape scene. I also told her about the request of my co-member in the yahoogroup and my other friends who wished that it could be uploaded in the U Tube. I asked permission from her if she would allow that it be uploaded on the U Tube. Direk Rechie told me that since it was already aired, there is no problem about uploading it on the U Tube.
When Ara Mina arrived, I greeted her with a kiss on the check. We had a short talk about the rape scene. I also asked her if she would allow that the rape scene be uploaded in the U Tube. Ara told me its okay with her too and in fact, some of her fans are regularly uploading some of her scenes in the movies and TV in the U Tube.
Having able to get the blessings from both Direk Rechie and Ara Mina, my problem now is technical in nature. How will I be able to upload the scene to the U Tube from the VHS recording?
From the little that I know about it, I was thinking of recording the scene on my Motorola cellular Phone while the VHS is playing it on the TV screen. From the cellular phone, which I would have doubts on the quality of the recording, I plan to upload it into my laptop and finally to the U Tube. Frankly, I think that it is the most practical but the crudest way to do it.
For the benefit of our friends who want to watch it on U Tube, I am appealing to you my friends. If you can give me technical advise on how to upload the VHS recording I have please help. I was also thinking of the possibility that someone out there would have a clear copy of the scene and have the capability to do it himself and finally would be kind enough to upload it himself! Please go ahead, I got clearance from Direk Rechie and Ara myself too!
