“Attending Precious Hearts Romances Story Conference”

It was already 12:15 pm last saturday (27 February 2010) when Exor texted me that the original schedule of 2:00 pm for the story conference of the Precious Hearts Romances was moved 30 minutes earlier. I made my own adjustments and was already at the basement parking of ABS-CBN at 1:20 pm.

When I reached the ground floor, I told the guard that I was attending the story conference of the Precious Hearts Romances. I was politely told by the guard that an event marshall was going to escort me to the venue. A few seconds later, I saw Direk Rechie del Carmen with the event marshall. I greeted Direk Rechie and asked her if she will be the one who would be our director. She answered in the affirmative and quickly complemented me that I looked younger! She asked what is my secret. I told her, ''peace of mind lang po!” Direk Rechie was my director in several projects in the past, most notably in Maria Flordeluna and in Ligaw na Bulaklak. In the latter, she directed me in raping Ara Mina!

When we reached the venue at the 13^th floor of the ELJ Building, I saw Direk Jeffrey Jeturian and greeted him immediately, in return, he asked if I was in the cast.

When we finally entered room 1308, a long table was already lighted and there were two cameramen who immediately video recorded our entrance led by Direk Rechie. A thin beautiful lady seated at the opposite side of the table greeted me as I taking my seat. It took me some few seconds before I realized it was Kristine Hermosa! Actually, it was only when I saw that it was Oyo Boy Sotto who was seated beside her that I realized it was Tin. She was very thin compared to the last time saw her when we were promoting May Bukas Pa in ASAP and Tin was there to promote a drink!

Immediately, Mark, the Executive Producer made the introductions and asked Ms. Clarissa Estuar, the scriptwriter to start telling the story. The episode is titled “Lumang Piso Para Sa Puso”. Kristine and Oyo will play the lead roles in what Direk Rechie described as a light comedy. Kristine will play the role of an employee in the municipal government who sold an old antique coin to Oyo Boy who will play the role of an owner of a Hobby Shop. Sharing Oyo and Tin in the limelight are DJ Durano who will play the role of a Councilor and Nina Jose who would be playing the role of Erika.

Playing supporting characters are seasoned character actors led by my long time friend and contemporary as a character actor Amante Pulido who will play the role of a carpenter/neighbor who provides protection to Tin who is living alone; Chiqui del Carmen who will play the role of the wife of Amante. Direk Rechie told me that I will play the role of the Mayor of the town and the Daddy of Pinoy Big Brother housemate Nina Jose .

We were given copies of the script and Oyo Boy, Kristine and Nina were interviewed on cam as part of the promo materials for the show.

Taping for the short telerserye started March 1. The location is the municipality of Pila in Laguna. It is slated to air on March 15 till March 31. Its time slot is before Tanging Yaman (bout 4:45pm), ABS-CBN Channel 2 and the The Filipino Channel. Hope you will have time to watch it.
