“My Taping for Rosalka”
God's blessings continue to pour on me! It was only last 22 June 2010 that I had my last taping for Momay and on 06 July 2010 I was again taping for another afternoon show of ABS-CBN – “ROSALKA”. I got a text message from Macy delos Santos, the Associate Producer of Rosalka yesterday at about 7 pm of July 5, asking me if I am available for taping the next day. I of course immediately said, “yes! I am available!” God really knows our needs!
Our location was the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City. When I met Macy upon my arrival, I learned from her that Director Jeffrey Jeturian will be our director. Finally, I would have the opportunity to work with him again. I shared a small aircon tent which serves as the stand area with Empress Schuck who plays Rosalka, Mickey Ferriols who plays her mother, Matt Evans and two other regular cast members of the show.
I was told by Macy that I would be playing the role of Atty. Gonzales. When I got hold of the script, I was so happy! You see, I got 19 sequences scheduled to be taped on that day. Considering that there was a total of 45 sequences to be taped, I told myself, I have a long exposure! When I started to read my scenes, I was more happy because I got long lines in most scenes! I spent the first 5 hours on the set memorizing my lines!
As Atty. Gonzales, I act as the new lawyer of Cecille Dimaano (Mickey Ferriols) on her case which was almost 20 years old. It is a rape case with her as the victim. It was coincidental that in my first time to work with Direk Jeffrey, I acted as the dad of Mickey Ferriols in the MMK's Jay Manalo Story and this time I am her lawyer!
After lunch break , I taped my fist scene. Before our take, I expressed my wholehearted gratitude to Direk Jeff for this big break that he gave me.
As a lawyer from the Public Attorney's Office, I am so happy that in my simple way, I would be able to uplift the image of the PAO lawyers who are so dedicated in their work.
My scenes will run for the whole week of the 8th week of the series. It will come out most likely starting monday July 12. Hope you will have time to watch it. Rosalka is featured after Wowowee, mondays to fridays, ABS-CBN channel 2, The Filipino Channel and all regional cable channels.
